Thai company Marsun Shipyard is to build two Inertia M3 high-speed trimaran crew transfer vessels (CTVs) for Taiwanese outfit U-Ming Marine Offshore Company (UMO).
The vessels are designed by WI-ND Naval Architects, based on the Inertia trimaran hull form, in close collaboration with Sydney based high-speed craft experts One2three Naval Architects.
Marsun said the two CTVs will be built to Danish Flag requirements and classed as passenger vessels by Bureau Veritas in compliance with IMO high-speed code.
The aluminium hulls will feature three independent and identical drivelines in three separate hulls and are also prepared for hybrid installation.
The CTVs can accommodate 24 passengers with 180-degree visibility, and will have two single officer cabins and two double crew cabins along with a crew mess and TV lounge area.
The forward decks feature large cargo areas for containers and toolboxes, as well as 50 cubic metres of climate-controlled storage facility under deck.
