The cost of generating renewable energy from solar and wind has dropped dramatically over the years, and it is currently similar, if not cheaper, than energy generated from fossil fuels. So, why hasn’t it entirely taken over the energy sector? The reason for this is because when it comes to renewable energy, there is an additional cost that fossil-fuel based power plants do not have, and this must also be considered.
All of our equipment is powered by energy in the form of electric current, yet current cannot be kept as current since it releases its energy as heat as it runs through wires. (Superconductors have no resistance and hence do not lose heat, but practical uses are distant in the future.) At all times, current output must perfectly meet current consumption. The electricity grid is a remarkable engineering wonder that does just this. We have several power plants putting energy into the grid, which is then distributed across the system’s coverage area to wherever it is required at the time. In the United States, for example, during the summer months, electricity is delivered to the country’s hot southern regions to fulfil the increased demand for air conditioning.
At the turn of the twentieth century, the United States had over 4,000 utilities, each servicing a tiny region. However, they were eventually linked, and the United States currently has two main grids, the eastern and western, with Texas having its own grid that is not connected to the other two. That is what caused Texas troubles in February 2021 when a cold snap damaged its own power supply, causing huge areas of the state to lose power and unable to get power from the other two systems to compensate.
To achieve moment-by-moment current balance in the grid between current production and consumption, one must be able to manage the amount of electric current generated, increasing it when demand is high and decreasing it when demand is low. And it is here that fossil fuel schemes excel. They are mostly coal and gas (and nuclear) powered facilities, and output levels can be readily controlled by simply burning more or less fuel.
Not so with renewables like as solar and wind, which are subject to variables beyond our control. They may create a lot of inexpensive energy on bright and windy days, which can surpass demands, but output reduces considerably at night or on calm days. So, with renewables, the additional step is to discover methods to store surplus energy created during peak production periods so that it may be released when output slows. This is a difficulty that fossil fuel facilities do not have since the energy is stored in coal and gas and is only utilized when it is required.
Much current research is focused on discovering methods to cheaply store renewable energy by transforming current energy into various forms that may be released as required. The more one relies on renewable energy, the more important it is to develop high-volume storage to compensate for supply fluctuations.
But what if there was no need for storing energy?
There would be no need to depend on costly and inefficient battery technology if it were not required to store renewable energy. Batteries are becoming more sophisticated by the day, and there may come a day in history when storing infinite quantities of power will seem to be child’s play. In the meanwhile, a 2015 discovery points mankind toward a future in which fossil fuels will be completely useless. Even though the discovery that neutrinos have mass was made couple years ago by scientists in Japan and Canada at the same time has already altered the landscape of energy research. In order to harness the power of the billions of ethereal particles that strike our planet every day, we need the correct technology.
Although it may seem to be science fiction, equipment has already been created to collect the mass of travelling neutrinos and other non-visible radiations in the form of kinetic energy and convert it to electricity. The concept has been shown to operate in laboratory settings, and the only step left is to make neutrinovoltaic technology appropriate for general usage. Because neutrinos never cease bombarding the Earth, there is no need to store the energy produced from their constant flux. While the quantity of electrical energy obtained from neutrinos and other non-visible radiations remains tiny, neutrinovoltaic technology is becoming increasingly powerful at the same rate that electronic gadgets, cell phones, and even heavy machines are becoming more energy-efficient.
The Salvation of Storage-Dependent Energy Technologies
Neutrinovoltaic technology has the potential to alleviate the burden of storage-dependent renewable energy sources even if employed at a modest scale. In the case of a renewable power grid, if neutrino energy only provides for 10% of the entire energy demands, it still means 10% of that system’s electricity won’t have to be stored in batteries.
Decentralization is the fundamental beauty of neutrinovoltaic technology. While electrical energy produced from fossil fuels can only be created in central areas, and most residences lack solar panels or wind farms, neutrinovoltaic devices are tiny enough to be inserted directly into cell phones, appliances, vehicles, and other energy-consuming gadgets. There is no need to squander power by transmitting it across town using neutrino energy.
Even when the sun is not shining and the wind is not blowing, neutrino energy may be created continuously. Because neutrinos travel through practically every manufactured and natural material with little resistance, neutrinovoltaic devices may be installed both indoors and outdoors, as well as underwater, making them very versatile. Neutrinos continue to impact the Earth independent of climatic circumstances, making neutrinovoltaic technology humanity’s first fully sustainable energy innovation.
Illuminating the Future of Humanity
The Neutrino Energy Group, founded by Holger Thorsten Schubart, a pioneering mathematician and energy scientist, has established itself at the forefront of the development of tomorrow’s clean energy solutions. It began as a collaboration between American and German businesses, but it has grown to become a much larger organization that now includes companies and scientists from all over the world. This remarkable collaboration has transcended national boundaries in its quest to provide energy solutions for the benefit of all people on this planet.
Thanks to the efforts of the Neutrino Energy Group, humanity now has a long-awaited and dependable answer to the present energy issue, which was previously unthinkable. Neutrinovoltaics is the future, and the Neutrino Energy Group is delivering on its promises today.
